Description |
|
The Arbat is a true symbol of old Moscow, and has recently celebrated its 500th anniversary. It is also one of the most prestigious streets in Moscow where every stone and every building have great historical ties. The Arbat still retains a vibrant and artistic air today, with souvenir stalls selling traditional Russian gifts, artists offering original canvases and street performers entertaining the shoppers. The street boasts an impressive selection of cafes, restaurants and bars, where you can sample everything from a decent cup of coffee and a French pastry, to a genuine Lebanese shawerma (kebab) or a tasty thick milkshake in a genuine 1950s American Diner.
A balcony allows you to enjoy a nice view of the green yard from the 5th floor. This is probably the safest area of Moscow - always secure and well lit. The granddaughter of Russia's famous ballerina Anastasia Vertinsky is your neighbor.
